Age of Conan Buddy Keys now available

Finally, after months we can invite a friend to play free for a week.

Heads up to protect legitimate forum users:

Gold farmers typically make use of temporary / free trial accounts to spam / advertise their services in game. It is possible that the person contacting you works for a gold farming company. Please give priority to forum members that have more than a handful of posts and a less recent join date to increase the likelihood that the trial is given to a legitimate forum member.

From what I've read you should be giving the keys to your enemies, not your friends.

Anyone hate me enough to give me a key? I've been wanting to try this damn game since I first heard about the beta ages ago.

Dear Age of Conan gamer

As you may know, every owner of Age of Conan may invite a friend to come play free of charge for seven days. At last we are happy to announce that we have enabled this functionality. This means that now is the time to invite your friends to come play Age of Conan and see what all the buzz is about!

The invitation process is easy:
Log-in to your account page, and choose "Buddy program". Follow the on-screen instructions, and then write a personal message to your friend if you so desire.

We are certain you will make a friend happy with this token of appreciation, and what is better than chopping of Pict heads together with your best buddy?

We recommend that you lend your install DVDs to your buddy to get him or her ready to play as fast as possible. Alternatively your buddy will be offered a $2,99/?2,99 client download with 3 additional days of playtime to cover the download time.

We still highly recommend the personal touch of going to your friend's house with the DVD install though. Not only does this make it completely free for your friend, it also allows you to show them the ropes!

Yeah, though they do give you an extra 3 days if you do that, so you pay $3.00 for 10 days of play. I've paid more for less, so no big whoop.

The game itself is worth trying I'd suppose.

Basically my impression is it will be a good game in 6 months of patching and adding questions and what not.

1-20 is actually great.

20-30 you start getting a look at the lack of things to do.

30+ is a boring grind.

That being said. I'll try again in 6 months.

Thousands of people downloading the 10GB+ game can't be easy on Funcom's servers and the 3 extra days are meant (as I understood) to compensate for the time you'll spend downloading the game so it's not a big whoop AND a nice touch

There are torrents with the download, if you don't want to pay the 3$.

Well, I am sorry guys but my Seasonic S12 600W is in for repairs and Im reduced to minimal time online. My own subscription has been cancelled and is due to expire in a few days.

I am also on the EU server....

If anyone wants, I will see if I can oblige but dont get your hopes up.

P.S. At least they fixed the Necromancers pets in this patch (EU)

I got the email from Funcon, but I cancelled my subscription long ago, so I'm not sure if I'll have it..

Edit: Apparently I can still invite people.. if anyone wants it, send me a PM with your email. Be warned, though, the game sucks :/
