It doesn't "un-hide" them, they're re-released with the same number. It is a pain in the arse though.
What's the difference? MS is attacking our Preferences and Privacy Protection of their advertized Win7 OS when we bought it forcing UpGrading to Win10.

MS has BUSTED Win7's UpDate preferences - Is this LEGAL under contract when we purchased Win7?

Appears to me MS has elected to follow Linux by UpGrading Windows through the Kernel but allows Invasion of Privacy with a horrid # of Commercial Advertizing that you have NO Option to evade under MS Win10.

In other Words, a Nation's Security can't CAP Win7's User's preferences due to MS's Guaranteed User Pirvacy (UAC) built into Win7. It's coming to the point where Win7 will not support the latest Silicon. Yet MS guaranteed with the purchase of Win7 will be supported to 2020.

So why attack their own operating system through MS UpDate?

I'm up to about 10 layers of TinFiol right now with MS - At least, for now no matter how app starved Linux is, you can build your own Kernel and protect your Freedom of Speech and Right to Privacy but then there is Society Judgement for Crimes against Humanity Vs Parliamentary Rulings.

I believe there's a Back Door built into Win10 to US NSA and MS Sold Out.

To me. with MS's attack on their own OS's through MS UpDate you're witnessing the last days of Cumulative Freedom.

For example; Whatever happened to MS ILS Server NetMet in the 90's. It Was basically a MS decision to eliminate XXX take over that destroyed Net Meeting - What a Great MS P2P App back in the days with an integrated Cryix 386DX-40 MB. White Sheet, Audio or Video to anybody in the World with 2 or 4MB's of Ram ,open and share your OS experiences.

What are you going on about?

I'm having a bit of a hard time understanding your last post there, but as far as the "support through 2020" you have to remember that is only EXTENDED support, i.e. security updates only. Mainstream support ends sooner than that.

BTW, I have yet to see a single advertisement in Windows 10, so I don't know what you're referring to there. But as I mentioned your whole post is rather hard to make sense of. Maybe all those layers of tin foil are making it hard for you to type clearly.

I've been playing around with PC OS's since Card Punch FORTRAN and DOS on a Comandor 64 (Still use Dos) since the early 70's.

Wake Up Puppy.

F%*k MS DRM and protected cable cost along with their commercialized MPlayer app. You got VLC and ZPlayer that will trounce MPlayer for media play - Personally I use ZPlayer ;o)

Been through too many Inter Net Wars and I'm stuck on Win7 64-Bit SP1 Ultimate. It's a Great OS as you can control it - Except for these latest MS UpDate attacks - Change my position NOT to go with Win10.

Not to mention the spamming of Windows 10 advertisements within Windows 7.
Through MS UpDate Site.

Now that's about the best argument I've heard - But at what COST over loss of Amenity or should I say MS Telemetry scheme to sell out to Big Brother.

Who owns and controls MS today?

I doubt nobody trusts MS guarantee of Personal Security with forcible advent to UpDate to Win10 - Considering it's launched through MS UpDates. I don't believe I paid for that Fairy when I bought Win7 and satisfied with the original contract.

By any other means, why am I'm being forcibly harassed by MS every 2nd month through UpDates to UpGrade to WinX ?

Of all the years using an OS this is the 1st time I've encountered this behavior. In my opinion there's a Back Door into our Windows OS and it's MS UpDate Service.

I'm not conclusive or knowledgeable to conclude as to whether MS should take over the Web with WinX but I know enough to question and protect myself.

Puffnstuff - So I'm the "Village Idiot". I've haven't crash a system in 30 years because I run in SafeMode and deal with a Barrel of Monkeys - Respectively Yours ;o)

----

Actually "Oubadah" presented a good rebuttal but without a solution were Win7 users have to live with this crap for the time being - Hopefully for not much longer. Other wise, I will just over-write my platform with a none inhibited Win7 OS BackUp if the OS becomes infected by MS UpDate.

I know Skype now shows ads. Using Flash.OCX, no less. Delete Flash Player from Firefox, get Flash Player permanently installed into Skype. :(

I just did an update of my Win7 Pro system and it didn't unhide or show KB3035583. Maybe because I have the none of the telemetry updates KB3068708, KB3075249 or KB3080149 installed and all of them hidden?

A half dozen or more of KB files that I had hidden to not install, got installed anyway. I may have checked the box when I did hide them. My mistake I guess. After I removed these KB files from Windows 7, I turned off Live Update. I'm tired of dealing with this.
