OK, left OK's queues because I could not connect...
went to serialB's queue, left because he shut it down...
tried reagancrw, couldn't connect...
went to minendo, was OK until last night, now it seems to be down too!

Maybe I should bypass the queues? If I do, my WU's still count for the team, right?

bugsy - did you PM the queue maintainers of the new queues that you were trying to connect to so that they could make sure that some WUs were in there for you? The way Setiqueue works, it has to create a queue for a new machine that connects to it and then start downloading WUs for it. Sometimes it takes a bit for that to happen.

all except minendo's got pre-queue messages from me. by the time I got to minendo's queue, I was just trying to find one that worked. when minendos worked, i was thinking... I'll let it ride a couple days and make sure it stays up... it did, until today.

Bugsy,

You're welcome to try my Q

mrepko.dns2go.com:5001

Let me know when you connect to it and I can put some WUs in your folder.

Thanks EW, got you on the speed dial now. about to crash for my daily doseage of Z's, should burn through about 8-10 WU's/24 hrs.

Yes. If you are a member of Team Anandtech, you can flush your WUs directly to Berkeley, or to any Q, and the WUs will still count for the team.

We use the Qs for several reasons:
1. When Berkeley was down and no one could get WUs from there, the Team Qs had cached WUs you could still get to crunch on until Berkeley was back up. 🙂
2. STATS. Using a Team Q, you can check on the status of your fleet, with details of each ship's contributions. 🙂
3. Monitoring. Using the stats, you can determine what ships may or may not be producing. I run a personal Q at work just so I can keep an eye on the fleet. It has helped me determine when a ship is down, so I can check on them. 🙂

Ok my queue is fixed. I had to change to the ip address. Redirect problems with dns2go. Sorry about that. It is still here if you need it though.
