Express men 1MX shirts, all solid colors on sale for $19.99, down from $49.99

blantantly ripped from a previous thread. Too lazy to type it out ;).

97% cotton and 3% lyrca. Are these shirts wrinkle-free doesnt seem like it based on the material?

If you tumble low/no heat and pull them out damp, they should be pretty wrinkle free. If you dry them all the way, they are as bad as any other cotton dress shirt. Good deal, IMO, though I have 7 from last time and won't be getting in on it this time. Some people in OT (I think Beer) had problems with colorfastness with these shirts. Never saw a definitive answer, but might want to search for that thread if it makes you nervous.

As far as a bigger guys concerned (not too big, but not the skinny guy that usually wears Express, I usually wear a 17 1/2 to 18) do these fit pretty well on larger guys or what?

If you have anything resembling a chest, probably not. I don't so it's all good for me ...

Not fat, but a solid frame. A little bit of chunk, but by no means obese.

Okay, just got out the tape measure. Under the arms around the chest (not sure if that's correct way to measure) I am ~41 inches

As a rule, pretty much anything in Express (except for underwear) just doesn't fit men with bigger builds. It's like wearing clothing from the kids section.

Keep an eye out for EddieBauer dress shirt deals... I've yet to wear something more comfortable and durable that prices around $50 retail.

A free cashmere beanie? Wow... that will make me look like a manly man. Where do I sign up?

LOL! I'm sorry, but what the hell is a cashmere beanie? Is it a soft woolen cap or a soft, bean-filled animal? ...I'm not sure why I care.

I happen to be wearing one of these 1MX shirts today. I'm wide in the shoulders and chest and the shirt fits okay. I'm about a 46-inch chest, 17-inch neck, 33 waist. I think I've got an XL on, but I don't remember (I can check later if people are interested).

The shirt has been though the wash about four times, and it has shrunk since I bought it. If it shrinks anymore, it'll be getting too small in the chest.

I dry it all the way (but not too hot), and I have to iron it at the hottest setting. I'll try drying it less to see if the shirt is easier to maintain.

I have also found the Express shirts to be way too tight in the chest and shoulders. At least Eddie Bauer has a Tall Size which works for me.

Where are the sales? I called the Mens Express store in Santa Monica and was told the 1MX shirts are "buy 1, get 1 for $22.50".

Shouldn't we be studying for the GRE instead of buying me clothes anyway?

Okay, perhaps not for me.

But still....

PS: I was axe-shully thinking of checking these out. I'munna be pissed if it's not an LA thing.

I'd imagine you'd be an XL now, eh?

And I've called around - apparently no Express Mens stores in LA are partaking in the $19.99 1MX shirt sale. :(
