Are there any aftermarket coolers besides the ARCTIC COOLING ACCEL-X-7970 that will fit and HD 7950?

I'm pretty sure that the Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II will fit it. I just ordered one for $35 from Shopstar.

*edit* Actually it appears that it's not on the compatibility list. :(

Do you have a reference 7950 then?

I know on my Sapphire the card doesn't even get remotely hot. I think 55C is the highest I have seen it, and thats with it clocked up to the specs in my sig.

When I get time I may play with it some more. But as is, at 1050 it runs BF3 flawlessly for me. So I don't have a need to clock it higher right now. I did try 1150 for a while and had crashes. So probably need to play more with the voltage.

Here's my card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102962 , it usually runs in the upper 70's lower 80's depending on the fan speed. Lately I've been setting the fan @75% manually to keep it the temps under 80c, but it's fairly loud at that speed.

Yeah my 7850 has a similar cooler to that one and I'm getting similar temps and noise. They're awful coolers. Absolutely dreadful. I'm sure aftermarket cooling will serve both of us well.

Arctic xtreme 7970 compatible with most reference 7800s and 7900s. But costs about 100 bucks

I've been thinking about purchasing that cooler, but it has two drawbacks for me. #1. The price. #2. The size, from what I understand the heatsink will over hang the end of the card adding to overall length. It's already a tight fit in my case for my 7950.

I was hoping that there maybe another cooler available.
