After update windows wont boot

I have a rampage 3 motherboard 1 SSD and 2 HDDs. After I install windows 7 fresh completely blank slate I update the software that windows needs to and restart. After that the computer will not get past the loading windows screen. At first I thought it was the SSD but unplugged that and I get the same result. Anything I should try? I am completely stumped. But it will start up in safe mode. Also startup repair doesn't detect anything wrong with it. The SSD is a Samsung 840. It has a 980X and 24gb ram with a 580 3gb.

You could try booting in safe mode and uninstalling any driver updates that came through Windows update.

I only noticed specific ones for the video card. The computer works perfect before the update after fresh install.

It is the video drivers but older drivers dont even work. It seems the second I install drivers the second my machine won't boot into windows.

Then I would suggest downloading and installing the video drivers manually. It is possible that windows is not detecting the correct drivers for your card.

It was a bad video card. Now I cannot get the audio drivers working for the sound. I have tried 20 different files. It runs ALC889 and I tried the drivers for it. All it does is restart when it asks then it acts like there are no files it installed. Nothing changes.

Did you get the driver package from the ASUS website? Also, your onboard sound isn't disabled in the BIOS, is it?

I guess the audio is out on the rampage so we just put a different sound card in there. RMA'ing the video card soon.
