Id agree that humid 95 is worse than 10degrees hotter and no humidity. Hell, I'd rather it be 105 and 10% humidity than 85 and 95% humidity.

Most of the advice in there is pretty accurate.

*Food is dirt cheap, while also being filling and good--about $2-$3 a place at a decent restaurant. . .my cousins were absolutely SHOCKED when we went to a place where it was $5 a place.
*Hotels are too, $12 a night for a nice room with a/c, and shower with hot water--at my relatives' you'll find lots of fans and a bucket of water in the bathroom, so you just pour cold water on yourself
*Lots of beggars, and a great number of them are little kids. If you give to one kid though, expect a lot of them coming out from nowhere demanding some too
*Internet cafes charge about $0.20 an hour
*Taxis are quick to go to your place if you call them, but if you're in a busy area just look over at one and they'll come right to you--20 minute ride is about $2-$3
*Crossing the street may be very intimidating at first, but you get used to it. Just follow the rules, look left look right, take a step, look left look right, take a step, repeat. 95% of the vehicles on the roads are scooters trying to get to their destination as fast as they can, and they don't want to hit you anymore than you want to hit them.

Family visit mostly. A lot of fun stuff too.

Our Hotel room was in Hue, not sure what it's ilke in Saigon.
