Why are you doing this? He has a link to the senate web page that states the temporary assignment expires immediately after a new senator is elected in a special election. You may not like it, but the senate already has a rule in place. Unless you believe that it should be ok for the Senate to change the rules just because this guy has a D attached to his name instead of an R.
