Well I skipped to 86% and it slowed to a crawl again.... skipped to 87% and it flew to the end with no errors. So something in that 83% to 86% range is really screwed up and probably not fixable. My only hope is that the drive (which is still unreadable in Windows) can function just enough to get enough data off of it.
R-Studio pulled about 6 GB worth of stuff.... mostly junk, but a couple worthwhile files.... before it gave me a BSOD crash. Left it running again this morning and I'll see if it made it any further tonight.... crossing my fingers.
