Secure erase doesnt work because no program can actually work on the drive. They all give me varying errors about the drive being locked or inaccessible.
While I have personally never seen an actual dead as a doorknob SSD drive, I'm sure they exist. Did you do any hot plugging when you redid system? If it were my drive, i would try a reflash of firmware. Even running crystal disk on the drive from a booting drive shows inaccessible?
However, I dont mean to drag this thread out forever, and am glad you came back with verdict. Guess thats why the sw I gave you didnt work.
So, you going to RMA to dealer or OCZ? If sent to OCZ at least they could say what exactly happened to your drive. I would really be curious. If I were wealthy, I would buy the drive off you just to investigate.
