After reflashing 6800 bios to 1.4v...

well, i guess it worked, but how the heck do you tell? is there any way to check the core voltage from windows or otherwise? also, there was some descrepency with my card from the instructions....

i used this guide to mod the bios, but when i brought the bios up in omniextreme, it said the 3dV was already 1.4v. At the top of that interface window, there is an scroll down to select your card, and just for kicks, i switched it to 6800GT, and it showed default 3DV as 1.2volts. i then changed the 3DV 1.4v and continued to reflash my 6800nu, without incident. what gives?

AAHHHHH so i have to do this again!? 😛

Ok, so lets say i do this over with nibitor just for assurance...how is the process any different?

bump...so i pulled my BIOS up in Nibitor, and its basically the same deal as omniextreme.

back to my original question though, is there any way to tell what my core voltage is?

no

rivatuner can give you a reading ~ but its not a direct reading and may be wrong if it detects the bios incorrectly, or not at all 😉

i can assure you ~ what you choose in NiBiTor is exactly what its gonna be.

🙂

heh, i think Rivatuner came up with the latter of your options up there, the diagnostic report said it couldn't dump VGA BIOS info. well, i guess one good indication i have is that my idle temps are about 4c higher... 😛 was looking for a little better confirmation than that though. i guess i'll bite the bullet and flash it again after nibitor modd.
