After nearly 20 years Bionic Commando returns!

Excellent. One of my favorite games for the original NES.

Does Capcom still own the rights to the Mega Man franchise? I'd love to see a "next gen" version of that to relive some of my childhood gaming memories.

🙂

Hell yes. But, Mega Man should stay a side scroller. I'm not sure how I'd feel about paying 60$ for 2 dimensions though...

Took Capcom long enough! Grin's pc GRAW games were solid and I'm going to assume they'll be using Capcom's ever improving Framework engine. My hopes are high even with Grin doing the honors. I can't wait to see more of the game!

whaaaaaaa.. they are the creators of Mega Man! Who else would be doing the games? I am very surprised that there hasn't been any sign of a new next gen Mega Man game. The ps2 Mega Man games weren't so good but I enjoyed all the NES, SNES, Genesis and Saturn/PSX Megaman and Megaman X games. Please let this be next Capcom! In glorious 2D!!

It worked for that PS castlevania game.

....but wake me when they update Faxanadu!

I guess I should have said "cross-platform" rights rather than franchise. I didn't know if they were married to certain consoles for different gaming franchises.

I liked Faxanadu when it came out, but when I reflect upon my time with it, I remember more frustration than fun. Flying boots were pimp though. That was the game that taught me what a mattock was and trained me to fear gigantic eyeballs hopping around one leg.

sums up my experience with that game. frustration was easily assuaged, however, by jumping up on the fat merchant's desk and stabbing him repeatedly with one of those little daggers.

...and by frustration, do you mean the kind that comes from missing a platform jump and you fall 10 screens back to the beginning of the game, and you have to spend the next 3 hours getting back to that later-level platform area? good times....

I liked both Megaman Legends. Not exactly classics but still a lot of fun.
