After updating from 19" 1280x1024 to 24" 1920x1200 (HP ZR24), web scrolling image update is jerky unless I scroll quite slowly. This is with both Firefox and IE. Is it because the video card has to process more pixels? Even with a Nvidia 9600GT?

Just checking, you have installed drivers for your video card right? Thats what it sounds like to me.

This, and make sure IE and FF are up to date. Also ensure 'smooth scrolling' is enabled in the options panel.

Can I ask, if you sit fairly close the the monitor do you notice gamma shifting in the corners?

And I know my web behaves that way prior to driver installation. Try uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and check to see that smooth scrolling is checked. But, do it in the reverse order mentioned.

try a different website, or one with less ads. sometimes flash ads make scrolling jerky
