Full Sail SUX! Send me that money and I'll teach you how to record. Better yet, buy some gear and get out there and do it yourself! Try Expression Center for New Media in Emeryville CA.

Yes, try to get into the military, preferably the AF, as it's not as physically challenging. Also you probably will never see any action other than some planes taking off, as you'll most likely be in a back shop supporting them. If you decide against the military, what about some kind of technical school like devry. I'm sure they other some type of computer animation.

My advice to you is do not run from your troubles in math. I think you should enroll in a local community college and take math courses there to get you up to speed. Take every single one that they offer and try to get good grades in them. This will look good for when you apply to a university. Math is your friend, math is your key to success.

Hey idnut, you're in PA, check out the state schools, such as clarion, they might have what you looking for, check the art dept for details (clarion). I really don't think they take a real hard look at grades and stuff, but if you don't make the effort then you won't do well.

Clarion is a pretty decent school I know alot of people who have done well from there and you're only about 1 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh. They just don't have real competive admissions, If they have room for you they will take you unless you really tanked HS. I think most of the other state schools would be similar. If you have any ? about clarion let me know I'll try and help. Later todd

PS you should be able to get away w 1 math class and no chem if you do it right;)

Lot of good ideas. My dad was in the air force and said it was okay. I never thought about Clarion but I definitely will now. Community college doesn't sound like a bad idea either so I can transfer some credits to something bigger. My one friend has been boasting about going to Full Sail since his father is practically a millionaire. On the other hand he just sucks in school, really dumb but he has a strong passion for making media like me. Thanks for the replies and especially the kindness, really given me something to think about.

It's all about the apprenticeship.
I think I am going to take an electrical apprenticeship next year.

There are other state schools even closer then Clarion, ie IUP, Slippery Rock, California. I know if you start at Butler Community College you can transfer right to any state system school with no hassle, its probably the same with Alleghengy County Community college to.

Go to your local community college. THey will accept almost anyone, and they teach classes at almost all levels. Most of them are cheap enough that you won't be out any serious $$$ if you attend for a while and can't hack it (although I'm sure you can). You'll need to decide on a major quickly, since you will only be there for 2 years if you are full-time.

Talk to a guidance counselor at the school and try to come up with a major that interests you. Once you get that 2 year degree in hand, you'll be ready to hit the world and make some money. WEll, maybe. Anyway, if you find that you want to continue with school, you'll most likely be able to transfer to a four year school and finish up the four year degree pretty easily.
