After hard fight between Radeon and GTS Radeon won!

Damm I need some gfx boards but I am afraid of the Geforce 1600x1200x32x85 fuzzy 2D desktop!
Well I will check the Radeon out and buy more if the 2D is crisp
 
Hardware is something wrong with the GeForce's under 1600x1200 @ 85?

I've heard something on this, but never took it seriously enough.

I personnaly run a SONY CPD-G400 under 1600x1200@85Hz on a LeadTek GeForce MX and am happy, but who knows... maybe I'm not getting it 🙂

Oh Well, I'm not a gamer, I'm pretty sure Il be switching to a G450 solution sometime next month.

Although I am using a DDR at 1600x1200x32x85 I am not sure if the 2D quality is 100% crisp!?
When I have the Radeon (48 hrs) I will know exactly.

I have 2 22" Iiyama Vision Master Pro at home to I can do a check with my 2nd DDR VS the Radeon!
 
maybe we were sent to another dimension.....a dimension where GUTB loves AMD and Hardware loves a card other than nvidia🙂

BTW, Hardware, didn't you bitch and moan with me about how your DDR's 2d quality was as good or better than a G400 MAX while having absolutely no data to back that? Its nice to see you got your head out of your ass and can now see that the 2d on that DDR is not all its cracked up to be.

Rage, who let you in here?! BTW, if it wasn't for me, you'd be struggling with your V3 3500 TV...ya know, the one whose TV feature was broken right out of the box. 😉 Remember, you got a G400 32MB, then G400 MAX, then G400 Marvel.

Rage, plus, you missed the incessant nVidia loving and 3dfx hating demonstrated by Hardware since May, 2000...oh the agony! 😀
 
Who cares what brand video card you use... I gave up on trying to keep with the times and went back to a V3 2000... and sold that now... to use an Nvidia TNT2 Vanta 8mb... wonderful... 🙂

Just for poops and tickles I just put my V7700 GF2 GTS into &quot;1600x1200x32x75&quot; gear. Basically text is readable and sharp but light text on darker backgrounds was blurry. Perhaps its my monitor but I do have a 19&quot; dot pitch tube with ISM so text should be sharp and bright. On the other hand I bought it in '97. Anyway, I'd be eager to plop a Radeon in and see what happens, too.
 
I read about some confirmations(Creative) about the Geforce and some hiend triniton based crts issues.
Well I will post some updates about the 2D crispy compared to my 2nd DDR
