why not just send the ad in the email?
that thread's overrun with people giving and (mostly) requesting gmail invites. no one's going to look in it for something like this.Originally posted by: Modeps
gee my theory of "even if there's an official gmail thread, people will still be retarded and make their own" is correct.

but anyway, with this pop3 program, does it keep the e-mails on the server, or are they gone once you download them?
typo
Some people might go with POP3 because they don't really need the extra space so they'll take all the messages offline and read them on Outlook OR some might leave EVERY message on GMAIL and just take messages off of GMAIL without deleting it off of the server.Originally posted by: LordSnailz
Sorry for the noob question but why go with the pop3 access?

okay, one more question (not really on topic but I wouldn't dare create another thread):
is there any reason I shouldn't use gmail as my primary address? for paypal, ebay, etc. it's no less secure than anything else, right? wrong? :s

that pop goes the gmail thing kinda works. it won't get messages already read, and doesn't download whole conversations. but it's a good start
