This has been going on for years. Why does it post a serious threat now? A guy I work with was stationed in the Carribbean for a year. He said everyday, no matter how often he vacuumed or dusted, there would be this layer of fine sand coating everything in his apartment when he got home. Turns out it was sand from Africa. Kinda neat I thought.
