I'm seriously thinking about one this year. i know it has been discussed (this chair) on the board before...

I've used them before, and now they have more fabrics and designs, and a posture kit.

no, it tops out around 1050.00, fully loaded, shipped.

avg. I guess is aroud 750.

base is around 650.

i know, i'm using more of a automobile term, like borrowing terms from other subjects what can i say.

Make sure you get the right sized Aeron. Check this chart to ensure you have the right size. You get many people saying that the Aeron is uncomfortable. But of course it will be since this chair comes in 3 different sizes. I have a size A and fits perfectly. Yet when I sit in a size C, I feel like I'm swimming in the chair.

Where can you order one online?

If you need that big of a chair, I think where you can order it is the least of your problems...

i ordered online too, about 940 fully loaded - posture fit, hardwood casters + original casters in bag, leather arm rests etc... but no chrome parts otherwise +250.

it's a great chair, but the posture fit kit parts don't attach to the sit perfectly, fitwise in the areas of the screw.

(you'd know the areas referred to if you have it) but I can't see it only being me havint this problem. the plastic isn't drilled enough. Surprising for a chair of this price... tsk tsk.

It feels freggen great sitting on it... totally great as I remembered a few years ago sitting in a few.

However yes I know, they make a huge profit margin from the buyer. Especially with their 'authorized' dealer rule and minimum uniform pricing that everyone has to adhere to.

How do these compare to the $40-50 OM/OD/Staples special? Do they make a model with a headrest?

It feels about 3x more structurally sound... and if you're above avg. weight in particular, i think it expotentially grows with a HM over a OM/OD/staples special.

and feels many more times supportive especially lumbar, than the OM/OD/Staples stuff.

Of course the price is 15-20x more... But comes with a huge warranty.

I think it's worth 8-10 times only though... the premium goes to it being a product purposely set for those willing to pay for status, style, blah blah blah... it's a premium chair with high profit margin, but there's nothing like it.

It's like an iPod. (i don't own one).

Are there any other good chairs for a bit less? I'm looking for a new chair that's more comfortable than my cheap staples/officedepot chair ($39?). It's a 'leather' manager's chair, but it's a bit big for me and not enough back support. I'm not a big guy and I have to fit fully back into the seat to get any back support (only lower back).
