How does this work in an average office? I would assume desks have to have their height adjusted quite a bit to accommodate this?

No, they are overrated. The arms of the chair never like to stay up, the plastic end of the chair digs into your thighs and cuts off circulation, and it lacks a headrest. I'd like to sell the damn thing and be done with it.

most desks have about the same height. just get the average exercise ball and fill it full. you should be fine.
