Aeron chairs worth the money?

I bought a Herman Miller Mirra for home use and it was complete garbage. I'm a large guy (6'4, 235) so I don't know if I'm a fair example but after less than two years the mesh in the seat has worn completely through and the plastic back piece is cracked and broken.

I tend to recline and put my feet up on an ottoman when using the pc so maybe that was the contributing factor. I dunno, but I'll never ever buy another Herman Miller or any other trendy "ergonomic" chair ever again. I have a big, wooden-framed, padded leather executive chair now and it's much more solid and much more comfortable.

Not worth it to me, my employer bought these for everyone and I can't stand mine - at least I didn't pay for it, oh wait I did because the $$$ spent on these stupid chairs was taking from our bonuses.

You owe it to yourself to try a steelcase out, either the Leap or amia. I have a Herman Miller aeron now at work but used to have an amia, and the amia was MUCH better.

We have Aeron chairs at work. I wish we didn't. I haven't found a way to adjust the chair so that my legs don't fall asleep.

We have Steelcase chairs at home. They've been very good.

The Steelcase Leap I own at least is made with leather. Those Aeron chairs are all steel, plastic and mesh fabric, which isn't even that comfortable. I don't think either the Steelcase (while excellent) or the Aeron are worth the asking price.
