aero glass issues

I have a vista home premium system 2 gigs of ram and amd4600 dual core, geoforce 6150 le integrated graphics. Aero glass will not turn on. I thought it was the video card but I saw the same system running glass at best buy today. When I go to personalize color it goes to color scheme instead of the aero options. When I click on aero it loads and then unloads. 1 time I was able to actually load it up before all programs loaded up but then it reverted to windows vista basic. I heard some programs disable aero but after disabling most start up programs I still am unable to load it. Any tips?? Ithanks

Also verify Vista recognizes your Vid card in device manager, if you dont have the right drivers sometimes it will just assign it as a basic vga card.

Thanks for all the advice, it turns out that a program was disabling it. Harmony remote software loaded at start up. I went to task manager and noticed the only process that was unknown was the harmony one so I disabled at start up and it works now. So if anyone else is having problems check your task manager. Now if I can get the folders to open in 3d view all would be right with the world

You could have a program running that doesnt support it. I remember when I ran the beta, and I had a old version of java or flash or something, so everytime i went to a website that used it aero would turn off...

If you are talking about the 3D Flip feature, which more for looks than that practical, the way I access it is on the Quick Launch part of the taskbar. The icon looks like a series of three windows. If you Quick Launch section isn't visible, right mouse click anywhere on the taskbar, choose properties and enable quick launch.
