Aer Lingus - Irish airline

Aer Lingus is freaking ghetto, seriously bad. When I flew them about ~8-10 years ago they had the old style overhead projector for the movie. Same time frame Virgin Atlantic had a freaking nintendo in every seat. Looked them up now on seatguru, they don't even have personal TVs in the seats yet, come on, this is 2009.

Power outlets are pretty hit and miss. I had them on the last domestic US airways flight I flew.

American has power outlets on the aisle seats in Economy on the JFK-LHR 777's. Im pretty sure Continental has them on select seats for trans-atlantic flights too.

Not sure about European based carriers.

I just flew to Ireland on Delta, and they had a touch screen based entertainment system in the headrest in front of you. It had a ton of things to watch, and you could watch any of them whenever you wanted. Most of it was free, but for some of the items you had to pay. Overall it was a great way to spend the long flight there.

many of the delta trip 7s have them.... not just in the front half of economy but for the FULL cabin.

problem with many on-board power, even in premium class, is that they are ridiculous "empower" form factor... which cost 100$ for fucking adapter. worse? they dont even carry it on-board if you want to buy it

Continental 757s (what they use trans atlantic) has STANDARD outlets in frontward seats in economy. win

seriously when is your flight leaving? Our Ireland trips are overnighters, you eat dinner and stay up for a bit and then pass out to escape the close quarters and the pain in your legs, then wake up, get off and start your day in Dublin

OP, I flied to Asia a few months ago via Northwest Air ($1500 USD) and no outlet at all in the coach section. Want some juice? Show some cash and move up to business class.

I flew JFK to Taipei round trip in business class on China Airlines and there were no power outlets at all. This was on one of their new Boeing 747's.
