Advise On MSI Board

Hi Everyone
I am thinking of buying 845 Ultra-ARU from MSI for P4 . I would like to have sugestions on this board if anyone has the same board and if they have any problems or issues with it.

They both have RAID. Only differnece among the board is "U" co notates usb 2.0.

I'm runnin my p4 on 845Ultra ARU at 133 FSB (Can go higher, waitin for cooler) @ 1.650vcore...

Super stable, prime95 24hrs no probs at all...Didnt have any lockups or random reboots so far...

Is it easy to overclock the P4 with A besides the speed or it doesn't matter for example 1.6AGhz VS 1.6Ghz.

Hey anu76 - I got my MSI 845 ARU/1.6A combo running at 133Mhz bus for 2133Mhz. It runs stable up to 135Mhz bus at default voltage, but I haven't had any luck beyond that (I haven't tried too hard). I am happy with this speed for now - easy overclock. Many others have reported great success with the ASUS boards - both the 845 and SIS 645 versions. You're probably better off with one of these because there is much more experience to draw from here.

Thanks The MSI Ultra comes with 845 chipset I ordered that one today. What the difference between
MSI 845 ARU/1.6A and MSI 845 ARU/1.6 .

The speed is 2409 MHz. I'm a 'n00b' overclocker (Well, not so n00b, but not an expert eirther 😛), and it was a piece of cake.

Bout RAID - I'm not using it (Only 1 HDD) - I would probably go with Non-Raid Ultra if my retailer had that mobo.
