So here is my conundrum. This is my current setup:

Intel Core i7 2600k
Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z
EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2GB Edition
Corsair H80 Cooling
16GB Corsair Dominator RAM
Crucial 60GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Modular PSU
CoolerMaster Stormtrooper case

What I would like advice on, is this. I'm purely a gamer. I know all of my main components except for my GPU are kinda over kill for a strictly gaming rig, combined with the current USB problems I'm having (which I am getting help with in another thread). I did the math and if I return the Mobo, CPU, case, PSU, and GPU, I can get a substantial amount back, which I would then put into something more modest, but still can handle what this one can. I would keep the all the other components and get a i5 2500k, Corsair PSU, CM Storm Scout case, and something like an ASUS P8Z68 reg, pro or deluxe. I would like take the the change, which is quite a bit, and either return and upgrade the GPU, or keep my current one and buy a larger SSD to run all my games on. Tomorrow is the last day I can do this because its the 30th day I've had this stuff and the only things I have a warranty on that could be returned past 30 days is the CPU and Mobo. All the main components I bought from Microcenter.

So, I just would like to get some peoples thoughts on the situation, keep what I have, or change my setup?

well it all depends on what sort of games you would like to play if they are gfx heavy then i suggest u keep ur rig as i feel it is more mainstream rather than high end, you have a 2600k which is awesome ivybridge is coming out next month and u will surely regret exchanging it for the i5 2500k.

Really, it looks like the only weak link you have is your GPU (and I don't think it's that weak... it's what I plan on getting...) I would just keep what you have and maybe bump up to a new GPU in a year or so, you can always sell your 560ti and get some of your loot back to make up the difference.

Ivy Bridge sounds good, but I have one of the only high end 1155 boards that aren't GEN3, so Ivy Bridge isn't an option with this current setup, at least I wouldn't get the PCIe 3 benefit of Ivy Bridge.

i see u have an Asus maximus if u really are bent on saving some cash i suggest u exchange it for the much more humble MSI Z68 mobo(check reviews) it has uefi usb 3.0 not to mention military class components all within 200$
