Advice requested: best of 2 video cards

Which is the better choice for a 1-card setup, no SLI ?

I'll need to pull the trigger by tonight. Recommendations appreciated!

PNY card has "G92" > EVGA which does not have "G92".
Is "G92" worth $15 extra?

However, I've had EVGA cards and am comfortable with the brand, but I've never had a PNY & don't know if they're reliable.

All 8800GTs are based on the "G92" GPU. I'm not sure why the PNY card would even mention that.

The EVGA card is cheaper, and the quality is known to be good so go with that one. (I've had good experiences with EVGA cards myself.)

Also, I see that Newegg has a superclocked version of the EVGA 8800GT for $249, so you might consider that one also.

Microcenter says 7 to 21 days.

I'll cast a vote for EVGA too. I'm on my 3rd EVGA card and no problems whatsoever. My last card ran stock for two years and oc'd for another year and was still running when I took it outta commission.

My vote goes for the EVGA Superclocked version of the 8800GT on Newegg. It has a higher clock and is still less than the PNY.

Hmm, your question makes sense here, but not in the title.

The two are the same basic 8800GT-512 (G92) card. The eVGA is the better on brand (step-up :thumbsup: ). Consider the EVGA OC card: of these three within your budget, it's the best!
