Advice on upgrading from a PIII 650

I currently have a P650E on an Abit BE6-II v1.1 with 256mb of Crucial PC133 memory.
I want more power for gaming (Quake III, NOLF, UT, etc.). What is my best choice (bang for buck)?
Should I get a new KT133a motherboard and TBird, a new DDR mb and Tbird, or just a new PIII at 850 or higher?
I can't seem to make up my mind. I would kinda like to keep my PC133 Ram.

If u already have pc 133, tehn a 700 oc to 933 is good.. new mobo is good also w/amd

I had a 600e on a bx6.2 and a handful of 133 ram, I found the KT133a and a t-bird 1000 running at 1200 a damn nice rig.

But these guys got a point, your current stuff will probably run 800+ if you turn up the bus speed.

I have tried to go overclock the FSB, but my system won't boot into W2K.
I can't seem to get past 110Mhz FSB. Everything posts, but Windows 2000 just restarts the whole computer. Any suggestions?

if you have a pIII 650, you might want to try getting a new video card rather than an incremental CPU upgrade ie. PIII650 -850.

You can also try dialing up the voltage on your PIII 650 to gain a little more stability in Windows 2000. It is set at default to reboot in the even fo a system error.
