Advice on new sound card

Hey I'm looking for something to replace the aging sb live sitting in one my pcs. Now I have quite a lot of music I rip to the hard drive (i hate cds) and want to be able to hook it up to my receiver. What is the best, and cheapest, option for a soundcard (with or without an accessory that allows this) to get just normal output by either the red/white stereo cables or optical?

1. There's no such thing as the best.
2. How can people suggest stuff till you post a budget
3. Absolute cheapest optical out would probably be the chaintech at newegg.

Ah good point. Well I'm poor right now, and wouldnt even be replacing the sblive if the sound output hadnt gone awry. Basically probably something in the under $50 range. Best bang for THAT buck then.
