Site has a lot of good reviews so put an order in. Hoping I don't get an email saying they made a mistake, it's a $150 cheaper than anywhere in oz.

Nervous anticipation will be my bedfellow for the next few days.

it was a pricing error, I'm not big on emoticons but is there one to express deep burning anguish and sorrow?

They really should honor that price though. It was their mistake, not your's.

Yep, tried being real nice and asking of they could let this one go through, straight NO! Was the answer. Looks like the 2gb 560 is gonna have to keep me going for awhile. For viewport performance and not rendering I think the memory is more important than cuda rendering or gpu core speed ,which i don't do anyway

Hi Guys,

Finished my last job and finally got to put my PC together today:

asus P67 pro
I7 2600k
Palit GTX 560 2GB
16gb Kingston 1333mhz ram
120gb vertex ocz 2 ssd
2tb WD
H50 CPU cooler
800w gigabyte PSU

I put the thing together and installed win 7 ultimate 64bit

I'm currently not seeing my 2TB HD, which I think will be fixed by formatting.

What I cant figure out is why I can only see 8gb of my 16gb, I have taken them out and put in individually in different slots and they all work, slots and ram.
I am guessing either BIOS or Windows issue?

Any ideas guys?
Also I am getting a 1 on the windows index because of "aero graphics performance".

Any help you guys could give to get this system running optimally would be great.

Thanks

Fixed them both and now running smoothly, next thing to do is learn how to stable overclock.

Windows install has taken 40gb of my ssd space, any idea what to delete to make more space.

Cheers

Remove or adjust the size of your page file. That will free up 16GB of HDD space. Disabling hibernation will also free up another ~3.5GB.

I noticed the same thing when I did my fresh install of Windows with 16GB of RAM. I disabled my page file and hibernation which freed up about 20GB of space on my SSD.

Thanks guys, disabled hibernation freed up an extra 10gb space, I hadn't touched the page file as a few things I read said it could affect the drive.
Everything running smooth now, got a 8.75 for CPU in cinebench and am maintaining system stability wit a 4.6ghz overclock. I was worried it wasn't going to be a decetnenough upgrade from my last system, but it is way faster and most importantly more stable. And I can upgrade to ivy bridge when the time comes!

Thanks formall your help peeps

Reducing the size of the page file won't hurt anything. With 16GB of RAM, not much is going to be written there anyway, so why have a bunch of space allocated to it?

 Sounds good!
