Here's my current system:

AMD Athlon Classic 700@750 (1.70v)
256MB Kingstong Pc-133 SDRAM Cas3 (running at 142Mhz)
Soyo K7-Via KX133 Motherboard
(2) 20GB Maxtor 7200 HD's
Samsung 955SF 19inch monitor
Guillemot Geforce 256 32MB SDR
Creative Live! X-Gamer Sound Card
Cambridge Soundworks Microworks Sound System
Black Hydraulic Mid-Tower Case
Antex 300W Smart P/S

Do you guys have any ideas on improving my system? I can O/C my Athlon to 850MHz using a GFD. The only room i see for improvement is my graphics card. I'm gonna do some major mod's to my case this winter break too. Should I bother with the new ATA/100 Hard Drive's, and a ATA/100 PCI Card? Thanks.

Depending on what you plan to do w/ your system (play games) then I would wait until the next gen cards come out to upgrade the video (Rampage or NV20).

Other than that the biggest improvement would be ATA/66/100 drives. Everything else is more than enough; at least from my point of view.

hold off for now

anything you get now wont be faster than your current system significantly

save the cash up now
maybe when then NV20 comes out, you might be able to get a GF2 ultra cheap 🙂

I agree that you should save your money. You already have 2 7200 rpm drives, so you probably won't see much of a performance increase in going to a newer drive. The video card is still plenty fast for the games out today. same with the processor.

I would definetly save the money and wait for a NV20/Rampage/G800/Radeon2

How loud is your system? I'm planning to get some quieter fans for mine this winter break.

My system right now, is at a quiet murmur - you can definitely hear it when you enter the room. I'm looking to buy some Silencer fans soon, and a quieter Heatsink fan. I have 1 60mm fan running, and 2 80mm fans in front.
