Advice on how to record Skype please

Hey all. I searched but am not finding a clear answer. How should I go about recording Skype?

There seem to be some pay programs but I am not really interested in that since I might record maybe one or two conversations over the comping six months.

Anyone have some advice?

there is no easy solution. the paid versions sucks as the free version. n the quality isnt HD. i forgot what free version that worked "good enough" for me

Kinda crude and not sure what kind of frame rate you'll get, but you could look at a screen recording program like camtasia. In Linux screen capture can be done with ffmpeg so if there's a Windows version of that, it may work too. I can never remember the command for it and I seem to have forgotten to backup my script that I used, last time I did a format. Doh. But you can probably google it. It wont do sound though, but sound is easy, you just have it go to any device that can record sound.

If your monitor is HDMI they also sell HDMI recording devices, no idea how well they work though. They are usually targetted at video gaming.
