I am in the market for a new TV, preferably something around 46". I have looked at nearby stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, etc.) and online as well. I have found considerably better deals online, even after a shipping charge, but I am concerned about the actual shipping of the TV.
How safe and secure is shipping a TV halfway across the US, and is it necessarily bad for the TV in general to be exposed to that much vibration? I know that any and all TVs are shipped sometime in their life, but I don't want to go through a hassle of getting a TV that is damaged, and have to spend extra money to get everything worked out. Those damn TVs are big.
So anyone order big screen TVs online before? How was your experience?
