Nice, congrats on the purchase!

I would love to get a house with ton of land some day. I'd probably put up lot of wind turbines and solar panels. Would be awesome.

Thanks! My wife and I have been wanting to move to the country for years, so it's a great feeling to finally be there. The land is great. It's 7-8 acres of woods and 2-3 acres of pasture, so there's not that much to take care of, and there's a ton of room for playing with my 3yo son. It's been nice to just let my son play outside by himself and not have to worry about him running out in the road or being mistreated by people.

The house is great too. It was built in 2006 on a concrete slab with a metal roof, so there's not a whole lot that can go wrong with it. It appraised for 25% more than what we paid for it.

The commute is also good. It's 30 miles and about 30-35 minutes to work down a nice 4-lane highway with light traffic. The first stoplight I reach is in town about 5 minutes from my work.
