Flashed bios on a A7V133 and all went well. It said flash was successfull. I
powered down and went to start up again and the computer will not boot!
Looks like it is booting ie: cdrom, cdrw. floppy etc lights flash like
normal and then there is a beep (one beep) and the computer just shuts down!
No display comes on monitor at all and it will not boot from floppy. It just
does one beep and shuts down! Any opinions? Thanks in advance.....

I've fried 2 bios chips, not A7V133.:(
But the beeping was much different from yours.
They were kept beeping till I powered it off.

Tried their Asus web site for recovery procedure from bad flash.
Also, look around badflash.com, there are some good tips.

Well, everything doesn't work out, I'm pretty sure you can order the chip from Asus.

You didn't just take the battery out, right? You also shorted the 2 solder points on the board to clear the CMOS chip, correct? If not, try this. A paper clip works fine to do this.

Well I tried everything and no way this thing would come to life! Finaly lucked out and found a local with the same board that was toast so I picked up the board, swapped out the bios chip and away we went! All seems well now. Does anyone know a place I could send my old bios chip to and have it flashed?
