I'm looking to get a new monitor for christmas, but i really cant ask for one over $350. preerably less, but thats my max. I was considereing either a KDS RAD-5 (or some other 15" LCD) or a 19" trinitron CRT. Which do you think would be better for me? I do mostly internet surfing and gaming, with the occasional graphic work. ANyway, i'm looking for the best fit. Any ideas?

So with a crt. Much better for money. I like my Samsung 753 DF that i got for $100 from a staples deal. I think that the 955DF (which is 19 inch monitor) would be a good. I saw it in hot deals forum for like $200 from dell. It doesnt use trinitron picture tube, but i cant stand the wire shadows on a trinitron.

Look at the Samsung IFT's, I havent seen anything better, and the price's arent to shabby at all. A 15" LCD is depressing to look at dude, you wouldent be happy with it, and Trinitrons just dont cut it any more. Trinitrons have always disapointed me when it came to color, the picture on them is sharp as hell, but the colors are quite dull in compairson to a Samsung or NEC.

I honestly suggest to spend an extra $50 and get the Samsung 900 NF. Oh my god it's a nice monitor. I've compared it to the KDS 19 Avitron Flat. To a Sony Trinitron, and to a ViewSonic 19 flat.

MY MONITOR OWNS THEM! =)

It's really nice.

Honest.

the Samsung monitors are rather nice, and so are the Iiyama ones, but those are expensive

If the value is supposed to be LESS THAN, then the alligator is eating it < and if the value is GREATER THAN then the alligator is running away >
