I'm trying to setup one computer for each side of a friends tattoo shop. I was trying to run 4 monitors off the one computer and be able to have separate desktops with a mouse and no keyboard . Basically the setup will be there for customers to look thru drawings and tats. Possible to SLI 2 cars together and each card has 2 video slots? And do I need software to run different mouses? Any other advice for a simple setup is appreciatted.

Thankz

For the mouses all i could see is you plug one into the mouse outlet purple.and the other one usb. but this is my guest

I've never heard of being able to run "multiple cursors", on separate screens, on the same desktop. Which Is what it sounds like your looking for.

As for the mice, you can plug in multiple USB mice, but they will all control one cursor. For the monitors you don't want to run SLI. SLI will disable the video ports on the second card. Just plug in both cards like normal and connect the monitors how you want them. I currently run 2 9800GTX's for 2x 20.1's and a 19' wide.

Looks to me you need to set up a small network with the main PC acting as a server. In order for four customes to page through a file, in this case folders with what are probabbly .jpg images, you'll need allot more then just a monitor and mouse for each station. You'll need a terminal (node) at each staion to connect the monitor and mouse. You'll need a wireless (or wired) router or a switch to comnnect each node to the network.

Another solution would be to get a reverse KVM switch, there is an outfit in the UK that sells them, with 4 terminal modes, here is the link:

http://kvmswitchdirect.co.uk/

There is allot of info on that page as to just how to set it up. I'm not sure if anyone here in the states sells that type of switch, lots of places sell KVM switches but you need a REVERSE KVM. Good luck!

I use:

Logitech keyboard/trackball on main workstation (host) with 3x26" monitors. To the right, a preview/do-all machine with a 27" 1440p monitor. To the left, an old, cheap laptop connected to a 47" LG. Scroll-lock keeps the cursor confined to the host if you want to play a game.

You would build two cheap systems using their IGPs, driving two monitors apiece. Network them: one as host and one as client. Drag your mouse between machines as you please. Result: level-up.
