I?ve been going to college off and on for the past few years, but lately I have hated it. I have 97 credits so far and am thinking about taking some time off. The thing is that where I live the economy sucks. Even when there was a good economy people were not hiring very often and when they did they didn?t pay very much. In order to graduate I need to do 23 credits.

So I ask you what do you think I should do?

BTW I attend distance education classes and they are not offering enough classes for a full load in the fall. I am like $24,000.00 in debt to boot (student loans).

Any advice welcomed.

definitely stay in school. education is more valuable than any sort of dent you could make in your debt by doing some mediocre job.
 
i just turned 24 and feel like a failure because i haven't been in school for a little over a year. i should have finished my bachelors by now...now i am pushing to have it done by the end of Fall semester...it is SSSSSOOOOOOOO hard to get back into and have the motivation. Finish the degree.
 
its ok to hate it
but do it anyway
finish your degree
then after you are finished, you won't hate it so much
 
Take it from someone who has been kick around college for about 15yrs on and off, finish it now do what you gotta do but finish it. It doesn't get any easier as you get older just a bigger pain in the A$$, and part of a degree dosn't do you much good. What about distance ed classes from some else to transfer, it seems like every school has them now.

Now was I clear enough, finish it Now!!!

VERY MUCH AGREE. You've done 97 credits with 23 left. I know what it's like to hate school, belive me. I always hated it. My university degree when I got it my grades were nothing to write home about but I'm VERY VERY glad I finished it even though I'd thought a couple of times of bailing on it. Now if you hate school and have no credits that's one thing but you're nearly done man. God just finish it. You really will be glad you did. I know it sucks, but do it.
 
You're already 4/5 of the way there, just take it one day at a time.

Definitely stay in school and finish it. Even if you convince yourself that you'll take a little bit of time "for a break". The longer you wait, the harder it is to return.

Just get it over with, you'll thank yourself later.
