Hi there,

I'd like to know wich processor to buy: Atlhon T-Bird 850Mhz or a Duron 850Mhz. I'll be using my computer to play games (basically strategy games and some racing like Nascar 4, NFS), wordprocessing and internet.

Thanks in advance,

Unax

Processor:???
Asus A7V133
256MB PC133
Asus V7100 Geforce 2MX 32Mb
SB Live Mp3+ Studio
2 Realtek Nics
20Gb Seagate
Sony CRX-145E

But I think in most applications the performance difference is only like 10-15%. The price difference is pretty small now too though, so I would probably just go with an Athlon.

Thanks for all the answers,

but the dilema still persists: Duron 850 costs US$ 95,00 here and the T-Bird 850 around
US$ 135,00. Should I still stay with the T-Bird?

Thanks in advance,

Unax

T-bird is much faster...

I don't know where here is but those prices are high!!

I would check the for sale/wanted forum...

I just picked up the T-bird 1GHZ 266FSB Axia core for $135 shipped

There was one yesterday for $120 shipped!!!

Older durons and t-birds are much cheaper there!!
