Hi there,

My CPU is a Celeron 466 o/c 582 using 2.05V core voltage. The room temperature here is a constant 30+ degree C, perhaps a drop of 1-2 degree at night. According to the onboard sensor, my CPU temp is around 36-38C when idle, 42-44C on full load. The system temp is around 37-40C. Is this within normal range?

Besides the power supply exhaust fan, there's a 80cm exhaust fan right beneath it. I was considering adding another casing fan....should I go for a 80cm intake fan which can be placed at the bottom of the front panel, or go for a 80mm slot exhaust fan?? Which is more efficient?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!! :)

Your temps are a little high. I would go for the 80mm intake fan up front. Also make sure you cables are tucked out of the way so they do not impede air flow. I always try to make my case temp match ambeint room temp that is not always possible depending on the design of the case but it is a good goal to shot for. My guess is once you get case temp down the CPU temp will follow

Thanks for the advice!! I'll give it a try! :)

Yeah...I guess my system temp is a little high, it's quite warm to touch at the side facing down the CPU socket. But my room temp is damn hot especially in day time, and I think it worsen the situation. :( I've tried leaving the case open but the system temp only drop by a few degrees...

Ohh BTW, I'm having this strange little problem here... My system will auto power on and boot whenever I switch on the power on the wall outlet. It never happen to my others pc...could it be related to the power supply or the motherboard? I'm clueless..

Thanks again!
