Hi:
I'm planning a new computer using an Abit KR7A, AMD Athalon 1800+ and 512MB of Mushkin PC2100 CL2 memory. Any advice or input on Mushkin memory? Any input on the Abit KR7A would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

I've had my kr7a running for about two months now with an xp1700 @11x150. It has been very stable and is very fast. The mushkin is very good quality ram, and I have seen numerour reports of people running over160 fsb with it a memory settings maxed. When you set up the system be sure and check the kr7a section at via hardware. It's a great tool for that board.

What lessell said, Paul's KR7A FAQ at viahardware.com plus the 'Abit Motherboard' forum at amdmb.com.

Hope this helps!

So far the highest I've went with mine is 158 FSB, that's what I'm running at now.
I have Crucial memory though.
I've used mushkin in the past and found it to be of very high quality
You should be able to get a decent FSB with it, If you unlock your processor you will get much more.
I have a 1900xp unlocked, it took me about a good hour to get it right.
Crucial and Corsiar are also good choices.
