How does a two Xeon 5 thousand series CPU mainboard (1333MHz FSB) with 667MHz RAM compare to a single CPU AM3 mainboard?

It has twice as many CPUs. Sorry about the vague response but I matched it to the vagueness of your question.
 
The system which i should have mentioned is a HP XW6400 Workstation or similar, which is 5 years old, compared with a 2 year old single cpu AM3 based computer. I am wondering if there are any benefits of getting the later.
