I've previously fixed a desktop keyboard that had a key break off ( i think I just used regular elmer's school glue) but remember it being a pain to use afterwards.
Anyways I accidentally sat my AC adapter on top of my laptop to hardly so my ~ key broke off and is a pain to use and makes the laptop look a little worse. Does anybody have any tips on reattaching the key to the button so it stays on flushly and doesn't stick?
Thanks

Did the clips break off as well? If it did you are probably screwed. You might be able to call SONY for a replacement key. Otherwise EBAY might be the way to go (replacement keyboard.)

elmers doesn't hold anything plastic.
if its repairable with glue use plastic epoxy from the hardware store.

i'd use gel super glue, it's thick like epoxy but sets way faster. just make sure you don't end up with a key glued in the down position.
