I'm sure most of you know by now that I've got an internship with the House of Commons over the summer and will be staying at my school's dorms in London. I've never lived in a dorm before and have no idea what I'm in for. Are there any other people out there who have been in my situation? I've got a feeling that I'm going to be approached as a teacher a lot.

In the orientation session, I was at least 3 years older than the majority of people there. Most of my friends are that age, but I've known them for a long time.

i thought the legal age to purchase alcohol in england was 18?

but as for living in the dorms, take advantage of the situation and try and meet as many people as possible. you'll have a great time. good luck with the internship! it sounds like an awesome opportunity.

Hey Mark! Glad things finally worked out for ya. I'll be over in the same flats in the Fall (if they ever find a place for me, that is). In my case, though, I'll be around the same age as everyone else. ;) From what I've heard, it's not too bad.

Just remember this: It could be worse. You could have lived in Smith Hall. :Q

Hook up with younger girls,
get "young" again,
and don't get pushed around by bigger kids ;)

but if its your first dorm life, why not enjoy it?

I'm hoping to get a job when I'm there. Maybe we'll be able to hang out. Of course, we were in the same town for a long time and never met.....
