advertisements in Steam?

a buddy of mine was at home playing on steam today and reports that there are ads in all of his steam games now. Anyone confirm this?

I am still at work, so I am unable to check..but wanted to see what everyone else had found out

I am leaving work in a few and will have to check it out when I get home.

I would hope not in the games that I paid for.

well, my friend has purchased over 40 games in steam and he told me they all have ads in them.

What ads are you talking about? Some games already have ads in them when they are created. I very much doubt Steam could add in advertising to a game that didn't have it.

CS1.6 does have ads and they have been there for a long time now. Other games are safe as I just got out of CSS and L4D.

Your friend has a virus. I'm playing CS 1.6 right now and I don't see shit. The game has no advertisements.
