On sale this week for $399. Dont forget Ebates or FatCash for another 1%. This is the cheapest HDTV I have seen. Its capable of 480i (of course), 480p and 1080i. It also has 2 component inputs which is nice. I checked it out instore and its pretty nice looking - except the remote is a bit fugly. I am aware you often get what you pay for, but word on the street is that these are using a lot of Toshiba parts inside (including the tube). Toshiba HDTV sets are signifigantly higher priced and pretty well reviewed. Advent used to be a good company for audio equipment years ago but I believe this is another company that aquired the rights to the name, so buyer beware. Regardless the reviews I have read (search HT2751A @ avsforum) seem pretty decent, and if you have any issues there is a 1 year parts AND labor warranty (better than the 90 days labor you see on a lot of stuff nowadays).

Go to it.

i have this tv. it is very nice, especially for the price. the non-hd image is quite nice as well....

1yr parts and labor warrenty is really rare nowadays....

dew.

I saw this at a B&M store last night for $399. Looked pretty good. I wish they made a larger one.

This is a 4:3 set, though, right? That's probably why it doesn't get more attention. HD Ready, but IMO if it's not a widescreen tube it's just barely HD. This would be good if you have a lot of 4:3 DVDs and a progressive player, tho.

As of now, I feel that 4:3 sets are more bang for the buck. You can always set it to widescreen mode... I would like a smaller set, but there's just too much 4:3 content around nowadays to buy a smaller screen and further reduce the usable image.

I picked one up with a 10% coupon driving through DE on 95 last week. No sales tax, $360 out the door. Good thing my mustang is a convertible, it wouldn't have fit in the coupe!
