advanced drive mapping

Is there a way to map a drive to a user directory that you are not logged in as? Like sometimes my friend will be logged in, and i just need to get a file in my user directory really quick, but we have to stop everything, log out, log in as me, put the file on a disk, log back in as him, and then we are done.

isnt there a way to just supply a username and pw to a directory w/o completely logging in?

Why do you have to log off I simply go to network neighborhood click on the share I want and put the user name and password in and thats it.

Are you using windows2000? Why don't you add your username/password to their user list and make you an administrator. That way, you automatically have permission to access that folder on the network.

it says "Invalid USER:1576291308"
that number is my username, they do it by social +- a little bit.

does it not like it being a number? or am i doing something wrong?

do you know if you need to specify a domain to logon onto?

for example---

net use * \\server1\share PASSWORD /user😀omain\username
