Don't know how much of an "Adult" bike that is. 😛 Says 7-16yrs old. Heck, I've been over 180lbs since around 16 anyway. 🙂

You've got 4000+ posts in this forum, and you're calling someone else a sad case? At least this guy gets outside once in a while!

Actually these new ones are much better than the older ones. We all suffer from the "nothing beats the version I had back in my day" memory, but the new ones are pretty sweet. Tubular metal instead of plastic, inflatable front tire instead of hollow plastic tire. I wore out my big wheel because i put a hole in its front tire (concrete just eats it up - like takinga power sander to it).

You really should see one of these up close -- my boy is only 4 months old, but I'm going to buy one of these and put it aside for him when he gets old enough.

Have a blast!

Don't you mean you'll buy it so you can play with it until he's old enough to ride it?

What is you problem GtPrOjEcTX??? Do you just like going around knocking other people's posts? You did that to my post on Unreal 2 this past friday.
Why don't you post something useful; otherwise, shut-up, because no one wants to hear your opinion.

I had one of these when i was little and it rocked when we played Crash-Up-derby with our big wheels. My big tires and smooth spinouts made the other guys hit the back wheels and stuff without ever really chancing that I would get hurt.

I'd buy one, but I'd feel like such a dork actually riding it. oh well. 🙁

Two excerpts from amazon reviews:

1. The new Green Machine appears to handle weight just fine as I'm 6'0", 190 lbs. (I could be 190 again) 😀
2. There is a bit of a safety factor, as they will flip when tried to spin out when they would go off the driveway into the grass :Q

All I know, is I have 4 kids. {6,4,2,0}. Whoo-hoo. I'll buy 4 of them and hopefuly one will be in good enough shape by the time the youngest is ready.

btw. BATCH71, you rock!

Dude, I ain't got no kids or been to a toy shop in many many years and after seeing one of these, it brought back many memories! 🙂

These things were the bomb when I was a kid. Used to ride it till the wheels on these go bad from rubbin itself away on the sidewalks! 😛

I had one of these, and an Evil Knievil big wheel. These things are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 31 also🙂

Glad to see some of you still have a little kid in you 🙂 Thanks for all the positive posts. I will post on the results once I get her fired up and runnin'. And to GtProjectX I have only but 4 words. "Stop, drop and roll" HAHA owned.

I'd love to drive up to work on one of these thing and pull a burn out skid 270 into my parking spot.

I broke one of the control levers on mine...must've pulled hard on it a few times too many. Dad made a replacement lever out of some scrap wood, but eventually one or more of the wheels crapped out.

I'm a bit oversize now for even the new version. :frown: I suspect the reason they stuck with the plastic wheels in the back would be that it's easier to skid on them. Rubber tires (even racing-style slicks) would be too "sticky." Real wheels/tires would still be nice WRT longevity, though...

GtPrOjEcTX takes foot out of his mouth and put it under back wheel of green machine.

Im 32 and if I didnt weigh 220 lbs I'd probably order myself one too.

I cant count the number of hours I spent riding those things. Like most others have said, it was the tires that went first. But when you are the 1st kid in your neighborhood to get one, you could have all the girls attention. A little bit of speed, one stick forward and the other all the way back, then look out. 180's, 270's, 360's, 450's, 540's....well you get the picture.

Have fun with it Batch.

Yeah...remember? The big plastic wheel would get one flat side on them from stopping too fast, then when you rode them they would go "clump clump clump clump" until it drove your parents nuts and they bought you another one. Ahhh....to be 5 again 🙂
LOL, flat-spotting a BigWheel! 🙂

Man these things rocked! I wanted one SO bad, but I had to deal with my sister's hand-me-down bigwheel. (Yes even flat spotted). But you could put rocks inside the bigwheel then and it sounded cool when you went down the street! 😎

This is so cool! I had no idea they made a "big" version of this. That would be classic to cruise around campus like one of the reviewers wrote on Amazon.com. I want one!

Thanks for bringing back some Really Good Memories Batch..

Nothing beats riding down the street with your friends on Big wheels and Green Machines.

I saved my pennies and bought a green machine from a garage sale for like $5. Broke the handles, but nothing some of that metal tape with the holes in it couldn't fix. And, I think the plastic tires are required for better spin outs. The new razor big wheel also came with a similar setup so you can slide the rear end around.

Hmmmm, no kids yet. Wife might think I'm crazy. Couple years off :-(

Somebody hook their lawnmower engine up to one and tell us how fast it'll go! 😉

Yepp, this thing has some serious mod potential... someone needs to soup it up asap...
