ADT door to door salesmen are annoying!

TallBill

Lifer
My mom just moved into a new neighborhood, and so far i've personally said no to 3 adt salesmen. My mom and my stepdad have also both said no to several. I asked again to be taken of the list of houses. The guy was like, ok i'll take you off the list, but when your neighbor's house gets broken into, heres my number.

What an assclown. Even if a neighbor's house got broken into, we still wouldnt get a security system. Besides, my stepfather is a police officer.

they came 2 weeks ago. it was raining, and he came by, i said "no, not interested." a few hours later, during dinner, he came back, i said "you already came by." he said sorry, the paper was wet, couldnt read the address right. but he still tried to pitch again! this time my pit bull was by my side, and i said "this here (looking down at my dog), is my security system." 😀

edit: to all the 'ill throw her a t-bone steak' answers, first, i trained her to reject human food, second, the barking before even entering is more than enough time.

At least they didn't break into your house and leave a brochure on the table. 😉

LMAO. I can just see the sales pitch then. "See, see. I broke into your house and left that brochure on your table. If you had and ADT alarm I wouldn't have been able to do that."

They could throw her a doggie treat laced with lidocaine then.

Actually he would have still been able to do that - it's just that his company would have then called the cops on his intrusion.

That's just rude. But then I think all door-to-door salespeople and telemarketers should be arrested for trespassing and sued for invasion of privacy. Glad I live behind a 8 ft block wall.

really? mines doesnt... you must have a curious dog then... 😛

I don't have a dog. It's simply a part of canid evolution. Quite a good one actually, since they can survive even if there is no traditional food source. There are many things about your dog that would probably surprise you. They are excellent survivors since they are at once both predators and scavengers.
