I want to drop Centurylink's modem and get my own. hate paying $9 a month for a modem I can get for less than $40 on amazon.

Anyone have a recommendation? I don't need one with a router/wireless as I already have a wireless router, but it seems most of them come with that these days.

I could buy the same modem zyxel 660 on amazon for $40 as the one I have from centurylink has served me well but wondering if there is better out there?
 
If you already have your own router and access point there is probably nothing to be gained from a different modem (Unlike say cable with docsis 3.0). If there is a $40 option you know works I'd probably just do that. Put any excess money into a better router someday (or go enterprise WiFi etc).
