Hi there, I had an old post with numerous responses, to solve my problems, which I thought had been solved BUT......

BSOD with various messages.

I'm 99% sure what is causing my current BSOD -- my Alcatel ADSL USB modem.

I have tried powered USB hubs
I have installed a PCI USB card to do away with the Via USB controllers on my ABIT KR7A

I have tried all versions of there drivers( apart from 1.6beta ) which I can't seem to get anywhere.

How can I solve this very annoying problem that appears to have been with me for about 2 months now.

XP1700 - ABIT KR7A - MICRON 256DDR 2100 - IBM 60GIG H/D -

WIN2K O/S

I have done three new system re-builds in case of crap dumped into O/S

Please can someone help me.

Thanks

Lee

can you try an ethernet modem? Sometimes you can pick it up cheap on the For sale forum or on ebay.

haven't tried one yet, but the strange thing is this modem was fine until Christmas 2001, on my Asus A7M board. It has only become a problem since changing boards.

No immediate suggestions for my current setup.
