Absolutely. Best speech in the Academy EVER.

So THATS why she was wiping her lips off. I wondered what happened, got my TV behind my desk and didn't see him come up.

I thought that was a pretty good speech, actually. It does remind me that actors have no idea about reality (in that he needed to work on a movie about war to be reminded that it is a bad thing), but on balance I thought it was smart and very thoughtful.

brody has class. period. unlike that bloated ideological know-nothing slob moore who took his few moments to rant
like a buffoon.

I will definitely agree with that! Great acceptance speech!

You think he slipped her the tongue? I do.:Q

That award was definitely an upset.

You have no clue what you are talking about...

Edit: Pulse8 could you tell me why do you think the oscar for him is not deserved, or it is just your opinion you can not really explain?
Could you tell me what you didnt like about his role?

Now you're just bitter because I mad you look like a fool in the other thread.

The award WAS a total upset. A lot of people thought that Jack Nicholson or Daniel Day Lewis was going to win the award. When a lot of people think that something is going to happen, and then it doesn't, it's called an upset. 🙂

Edit: I didn't say it was undeserving because I haven't seen all the performances nominated. I've heard nothing but good things about the film.

No you didn't. I have a right to have my own opinion, so do you.
I respect your right to freedom of opinion, without judging you...
Really 😉

Now you know exactly what I feel after watching the Chicago...
A lot of people told me that it is an excellent movie. I saw it and I was upset, cause it was just... a musical...
I was upset....
😉

Edit: you see now you can understand what I mean with my Chicago post. I found you...My soulmate....

😛

There's a difference in being upset and there being an upset. You were upset because you didn't like Chicago regardless of the hype.

There was an upset because an unexpected, not undeserving, person won best actor. 🙂

Pulse8 - At first you are arguing with me about the Chicago - movie you haven't seen..
And now you are arguing with me about another movie you haven't seen...
It looks to me that you like arguing....And it is something I am not really good at 😉

I just know that you say things about subjects you don't know about, so it makes it easy for me to win the arguments. 🙂

Especially when I know enough about the subjects to get by without actually knowing the specifics. 🙂

If you had given me a well thought out reason why Chicago was a failure of filmmaking, I would've stopped posting because I would've had no argument.

She looked severely offended. Strange, too, since he seems to be a good looking young guy, right? (I'm no expert at that 😉)

Perhaps he didn't mean that he forgot that war was a bad thing, as much as playing a part can really give you a new perspective on things.

From my own experience, I've read about the Holocaust, I've been to the museum in Washington. I've read Anne Frank: Diary Of A Young Girl.
I've read the stories, seen the movies, heard the accounts.

But the feeling of fear and terror that came out of the Holocaust took on a whole new meaning and reality to me when I played the part of Otto Frank in The Diary Of Anne Frank.

But yeah, he gets thumbs up for having the presence of mind to plant one on Halle Berry in such a wild moment 🙂
